Repairs & Warranty
Our 90-Day Craftsmanship Warranty
Every Perennial Peaces purchase includes a separate 90-day standard warranty beginning on the date of delivery.
The warranty covers qualifying breakage caused by defects in craftsmanship or faulty components, subject to assessment and the applicable warranty terms.
It does not ordinarily cover accidental damage, normal wear and tear, improper care, misuse, or alterations made by others. However, we assess reported issues individually rather than assuming the cause from appearance alone.
If you believe your "peace" has a qualifying craftsmanship or component defect, contact us within 90 days of delivery with your order information and photos. We'll review the issue and explain the applicable resolution.
The warranty is separate from our paid Repairs & Aftercare service. Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under applicable law.
Repairs & Aftercare
Every peace deserves thoughtful care.
At Perennial Peaces, our jewelry is handcrafted to celebrate individuality, creativity, and the stories that make each of us unique. We know that a favorite "peace" can become more than an accessory—it can hold memories, milestones, and meaningful connections.
Our Repairs & Aftercare service gives your Perennial Peaces jewelry thoughtful consideration when it needs attention.
Because our "peaces" combine textiles, resin, wire, beads, and decorative components, every repair is different. Some "peaces" can be repaired with their original materials; others may require replacement components or a different solution. In some cases, a repair may not be feasible.
Our promise is to assess your "peace" with care, explain your options honestly, and obtain your approval before beginning any repair work.
Our Repair Services
The Refresh
Minor repairs and adjustments
For eligible "peaces" that need attention to loose findings, minor wire adjustments, or other manageable issues.
The Renewal
Component replacement
For eligible "peaces" with damaged hardware, faded charms, or other components that may be replaceable. Replacement parts depend on availability and compatibility. If an alternative would change the appearance of your jewelry, we'll discuss it with you first.
The Reimagining
Complex repair and remake assessment
For "peaces" with significant resin damage, extensive discoloration, damaged textiles, or discontinued components. We'll assess whether a repair, redesign, or remake is feasible and explain any limitations before you decide how to proceed.
The Keepsake Consultation
Special care for sentimental materials
Some of our jewelry incorporates wedding fabrics, heirloom textiles, memorial materials, or other meaningful fabrics. We understand that these materials may be irreplaceable.
If your "peace" contains sentimental fabric, please tell us when submitting your request. We'll discuss what you want to preserve, identify potential risks, and explain feasible options before proceeding.
We will not substitute, cut, remove, or permanently alter identified sentimental material without your specific approval. If a proposed repair could put the original material at risk, we'll explain that risk and may recommend leaving the "peace" untouched.
How Our Repair Process Works
1. Submit a repair request
Complete our Repair Request Form and include clear photos of your jewelry and the affected area. Please describe the issue and let us know if the "peace" contains sentimental materials.
2. Receive an initial review
We'll review your submission and let you know whether we can proceed with an assessment. Please wait for our instructions before mailing your jewelry.
3. Send your peace for assessment
If we accept the "peace" for assessment, we'll provide shipping instructions. Customers are responsible for shipping the "peace" to Perennial Peaces.
4. Receive a personalized repair proposal
After assessment, we'll explain what we believe can be done, the estimated cost, the expected turnaround time, and any limitations or potential changes to the design. If a repair isn't feasible, we'll discuss any reasonable alternatives.
5. Approve your repair
No paid repair or proposed substitution will begin until you approve the scope and quote. If you decline the proposed work, we'll return your piece without performing that work.
6. Receive your peace
Once the approved work is complete, we'll carefully prepare your jewelry for return. Perennial Peaces covers return shipping under this repair service.
What About Oxidation, Fading, or Other Material Changes?
Handcrafted jewelry combines materials that can respond differently to moisture, friction, sunlight, cleaning products, and everyday wear. Metal may discolor, decorative charms may fade, and resin or textile components may change over time.
The outcome depends on the materials involved and the condition of the "peace".
- Metal discoloration: We will assess whether cleaning or component replacement is feasible. We cannot guarantee that all discoloration can be removed.
- Faded charms: If the original charm is unavailable or cannot be restored, we may be able to offer a similar alternative with your approval.
- Resin or textile damage: We will assess whether the affected area can be addressed without causing further damage.
- Discontinued materials: If an identical replacement is unavailable, we will explain any feasible alternatives before proceeding.
A repair does not necessarily return a "peace" to its original appearance or condition. We will explain what is realistically achievable before you approve any work.
Repair Eligibility & Pricing
Our repair service is only available for jewelry originally made by Perennial Peaces. We may be unable to accept a "peace" if its materials, construction, condition, or repair requirements make safe or reliable work impractical.
Each "peace" is assessed individually. Repair costs depend on the work required, replacement materials, and complexity of the repair. We provide a quote before beginning paid work.
Our initial photo review and physical assessment are complimentary. An assessment does not guarantee that a repair will be possible.
For repair requests outside an applicable warranty, customers are responsible for shipping their jewelry to Perennial Peaces. We cover return shipping under this repair service, including when a customer declines the proposed repair after assessment.
